Sessions, in harmony

SEQ / BANK

A grid that launches patterns, with the mixer beside it. Loop, one-shot, or hold, the sequencer is the heart of epicMIDI.

RNG

A song laid out in bars. Drag clips in, trim them, arm a track. Keys, RAM, and the bank open here.

ROLL

A piano roll that follows the scale. Draw, quantize, humanize. Lanes under the notes, keys under that.

PERF

Two surfaces. Keys, XY, knobs, faders, pads, a circle, and GEN on top. Dest, channel, and scale are each their own.

GEN

Dice a groove. Evolve it every loop. Keep the takes, then store them to the bar. Bass, chords, arp, lead, and drums, in time.

HARM

One or two circles of fifths, or of a scale. Root and scale decide which notes sit on the wheel. Each ring is its own voicing.

MIX

Off, Int, or Host. Host puts an AUv3 on every letter track.

What it actually does

Pattern bar

Always on. Play, then NULL, SEQ, PAT, RNG, or GEN. Each page can keep the mode it opened with.

MIDI. Not a toy, but fun to play.

Ports, channel, thru, clock, and panic. Timing follows the audio clock. Dest and channel sit on each surface.

AUv3 both ways

The app hosts generators and effects. In AUM or Logic, epicMIDI is the MIDI processor.
